1 Timothy 2:1-3
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone --for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior."
This summer Young Adults from the Kenai Grace Brethren Church joined Vision Alaska to prayer walk in Seward, Alaska. Seward is a beautiful small town on the coast in South Central Alaska.
The photo shows (back row, L-R) Jessica, Travis, Miriam, and Amber. Front row is Melissa, Cherri and Abigail.
Vision Alaska is looking for those in Seward, who would like to start a church or home church.
Prayer walking is a spiritual discipline. It is a way of walking in places and meeting people while saturating the area with prayer. Seeing people and their community through the eyes of Jesus makes us more sensitive to their needs. Prayer walking is often done by a team prior to starting a work in the area.
After the prayer walk, we had a BBQ at a campground overlooking the ocean and the magnificent mountains. Great thoughts and observations were made by the participants about what they thought and experienced.
Pray for Seward and that God would begin a new work there. If you know of people who would like to start a work there, please call Dr. Roger Holl at (907) 862-0336.
