At the 2016 Annual Conference of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches (FGBC), the Sterling Grace Brethren Church was formally accepted as a church of the fellowship.
This is important for several reasons. First, The Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches is not a denomination, but a fellowship of like-minded, independent congregations that acknowledge the bible as the sole authority for faith. Second, This action connects Sterling Grace Brethren Church with a variety of resources, including connection with ministries world-wide, throughout the United States and Canada. An upcoming two day class provided in Alaska by Grace Theological Seminary and Women of Grace on Soul Care, is an example of this. The dates are September 9-10, 2016.
Living out our life of faith in the local church is important. It is also important for Christians to be part of the larger Church of Christ. In Romans 16:16 we learn that Paul created many churches for Christ. The opportunity to participate in active missions for Christ throughout the world is part of living out our faith, not only at home, but abroad.
