This winter has seen great activity through Vision Alaska. First, Roger joined church planters for a great Vision USA conference in Ohio in November at the Northwest Chapel.
In addition Roger and Melissa went to the South West Focus Retreat at Camp Oaks, California to meet with 65 Grace Brethren Pastors as we discussed the world wide fellowship we wish to become to reach the world for Christ and to leave to the next generation. (See photo above).
Roger completed seminary degrees for both a Doctor of Ministry degree and a PhD. It was the accumulation of years of study.
We are seeing ministry happen in Alaska as we continue to work at church starts and to hold Church Growth Seminars. Roger received his certification this year as a Coach from CoachNet to assist pastors and others to accomplish their goals through the leading of the Holy Spirit.
On Saturday, February 28, 2015, Vision Alaska will hold a Gatherer, Shepard, Elder workshop at Alaska Bible College in Palmer. Dr. Tony Webb of Vision USA will be teaching the workshop to assist others to reach people for Christ by creating small groups and new churches.
In Alaska, the Webbs will be joining Roger and Melissa as we travel to new places to start churches from February 26th to March 9th. Plans are underway for Roger to travel to rural villages this summer by river boat to share the Word of God and to hand out solar powered radios to receive Christian radio.
The Sterling Church is now meeting twice a week in the area to meet the needs of the community. Pray that we will grow to start Sunday services as well. We are also working at creating other small groups, who meet during the week. These small groups may wish to join an established church on Sundays or form their own church.
We are continually thankful for those, who support us in prayer.
